Admission Up for Highly Competitive Schools, Down for Others

Newly released data about the Common App show that what has been reported anecdotally in admissions is actually occurring in large numbers. The larger and more competitive colleges and universities are having a good year and getting lots of applications. But smaller and less competitive colleges are not. University of Maryland is Highly Selective at 44% Acceptance

University of Maryland admissions are highly selective, With an acceptance rate of 44% in the Fall of 2019. A total of 33,012 applicants applied for admissions this semester, 14,525 students were offered admission.
